Rhodes State College Dental Hygiene Program Receives Reaffirmation of Accreditation Status

The Dental Hygiene Program at Rhodes State College is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation and has been granted the accreditation status of “approval without reporting requirements.” The Commission is a specialized accrediting body recognized by the United States Department of Education. Rhodes State’s Dental Hygiene program was initiated in 1976 and celebrated its 40th anniversary last year. An onsite Dental Hygiene Clinic is open to the community and offers preventive services including oral examinations, health and oral cancer screenings, oral health instruction, x-rays, scaling and polishing of teeth, fluoride treatment, and sealants.
